“I began my healthy lifestyle journey in April 2015 by changing my eating habits which were terrible! In June 2015 I had lost about 20lbs and now needed to add weights to my regimen since I got cardio as a letter carrier. I was referred to Brittany from the food program I had been using.Brittany met with me for an initial appointment to find out my needs and goals to incorporate into my new healthy lifestyle. The program she developed was geared for me not a generic one. She is well versed in healthy eating. We have been personal training since that initial meeting and we have incorporated many different exercises into my life. Not only did I transform my lifestyle I have made a friend for life. On a final note I went from a size 20 to size 10-12! I lost 70lbs and have maintained my weight for the last 3.5 years! I would highly recommend Brittany to guide you in your journey on a healthy lifestyle. It’s not a diet or a quick fix. Thank you God for sending Brittany into my life!”
“December 2012 I reached out to an amazing person who became more than just a nutritionist or personal trainer to me. She became a friend and one of my biggest supporters in my ups and down with weight loss. Up until I had my first kid, I would exercise like crazy and not eat to lose weight, not smart, but it worked. Throughout most of high school and college I struggled with anorexia, which carried into my adult life. After I had my kids though, I wasn’t able to lose the weight by not eating. I wasn’t able to lose the weight even only eating once a day. I was the most unhealthy, unhappy, uncomfortable at that point in my life. In January 2013 I began my work with Brittany Fendikevich. She knew where I was at, she knew what I was dealing with and she didn’t make me feel bad about any of it. I worked with her until we moved in 2014 and I kept most of the weight off until I had Jade. After Jade I fell back into bad habits and ultimately gained again, and my anorexia resurfaced, though I knew how to hide it well. I found North Durham Cross Fit in 2016 and loved going there weekly for about 2 years. It helped get me active, but I had yet to get out of my head.A few times each year, Brittany does 6 week challenges. I have done a few in the past and decided to do the most recent one January 2nd of this year. I didn’t stop after the 6 weeks. I set a goal to be under 200. I kept telling Brittany I was chasing the #1 lol! 6 weeks got me close, but today, 5 weeks after the challenge ended, I not only hit my goal, I surpassed it, naw, I crushed it! I finally was in a completely different headspace. 6 years, it took me 6 years to realize that food wasn’t the enemy, that I didn’t have to give up foods I loved and starve myself to see progress. After dealing with the internal struggle of anorexia, for many years alone, since I was about 12, I feel like I’ve hit a breakthrough. For the first time since I can remember, I hit a goal, in a healthy way! I successfully lost 75lbs without starving myself. As of this morning, I am a HEALTHY 198lbs. I have set my next goal and can’t wait to hit that one too! I am nowhere near done, but I’m definitely a whole lot further ahead of where I was, and I am incredibly proud of that!”
“I love working out and training with Brittany, she really knows how to help her clients! Plus if you train with her you’ll have a great time sweating!”
